The ForumMissisquoi.com web site started out as ForumFrelighsburg.com
in June 2009. The original Forum was a response to the state of
municipal politics in a tiny village that was rushing forward to complete over
$6 million worth of infrastructure projects. That discussion
can be relived via the online
archived editions
of the original Forum.
With a new town council and mayor in place in December 2009, the ForumFrelighsburg.com website could
transform itself into something new--a citizens' blog with a larger
base of online readers (and writers). The ForumMissisquoi.com website
is designed to serve the southern portion of Brome-Missisquoi County -- a rectangular
area just north of the Vermont border that comprises Bedford, Saint Armand, Stanbridge East, Dunham and Frelighsburg.
The ForumMissisquoi.com website will occasionally be printed and distributed as
a one-page printed newspaper. Its focus will be the environment,
events, culture and local politics.
It will continue to provide classified ads and letters to the editor.
